2. DVD2AVI

This step creates a DVD2AVI project file (.d2v) that's basically an index of the vob(s) which will be used when opening them in AviSynth in a later step. There are many versions of dvd2avi available but we suggest that you use the "plain" 1.77.3 version since it's been widely tested. If you haven't already demuxed the audio you can cut the video and audio in dvd2avi and it will sync perfectly when it's time to mux it.

-Select File\Open (or press F3) and open the first vob in the series of VOBs (eg vts_01_1.vob). A new window will pop up where you'll see a list of all the VOBs in ascending order. Press ok.
Hint: You can use the slidebar to see if the video is complete by checking if it has an opening and ending.

-Make sure Video -> Field Operation -> None is selected.

-Now save the project with File\Save Project (or F4). Save it in the same dir as your VOBs. time (between 1 and 5 min)
-Close dvd2avi.
-Proceed to the next step.
